KURT BOX, CFP®

KURT GREW UP IN BANDERA, TEXAS, WHERE HIS HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATING CLASS HAD 100 KIDS. He was brought up to respect all people, no matter their upbringing or their job. Kurt graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M, then earned his masters in finance. He started on the path to being an investment banker, but decided he wanted to devote himself to individuals and families.

KURT SPENDS MOST OF HIS TIME HELPING CLIENT FAMILIES ACHIEVE THEIR LIFE’S MISSION. He gets to know and understand each client in depth, then works with them to craft a financial plan that supports their values and life goals. Kurt is also responsible for analyzing complex tax situations and serves as the firm’s Chief Investment Officer, making necessary adjustments to client portfolios. He’s a past president and chairman of the Financial Planning Association’s Houston chapter.

KURT GIVES BACK TIRELESSLY TO HIS COMMUNITY. Somehow, he finds the time to serve on three non-profit boards: Mercy House provides support for pregnant girls on the streets of Nairobi, Kenya. World Recovery channels resources to Aceh, the Indonesian province hardest hit by the 2004 tsunami. And Caring for Korah, created by Kurt’s family, is a ministry that exists to love and serve the poor in Korah, Ethiopia, an area devastated by poverty and homelessness. Kurt also teaches Sunday school at the Fellowship of Cinco Ranch.

KURT’S FAMILY LIFE REVOLVES AROUND HIS WIFE SUZANNE AND FIVE KIDS. Kurt lives in Fulshear with Suzanne, four sons — Braden, Berihu, Truitt and Blake — and one daughter — Reese. Together, they enjoy volunteering, traveling, skiing, football, soccer, reading, going on mission trips and participating in just about anything Aggie-oriented.
